For many single Christians, the longing to become a parent runs deep and fertility technologies promise to make that dream possible. Yet alongside these technologies come profound questions for followers of Jesus: what does cross-shaped faithfulness look like when powerful technologies reshape how we think about sex, marriage, and having children?
Through honest conversation, biblical reflection, and compassionate wisdom, we’ll explore how the gospel renews our thinking about procreation, parenthood, marriage, and family. Together, we’ll consider why not every path to parenthood is one that Christians are free to pursue, how faithful discipleship may sometimes call us to embrace both the possibilities and limits of life in a fallen world, and how God may meet our desires to nurture, care for, and invest in the next generation in ways that are unexpected and deeply life-giving. We’ll also explore how the church can respond to these questions with deep humility, biblical conviction, and practical love.
This seminar is not only for singles wrestling with the question of IVF, but also for church families and leaders committed to loving them well. It will be held in-person in Melbourne (August) and Sydney (October), with livestream available for both locations.
After graduating from Moore Theological College in Sydney and serving in women’s ministry at a church for almost seven years, Dani completed a PhD focusing on a theology of singleness. She is the founding director of Single Minded and the author of Single Ever After and The Meaning of Singleness.
She works part-time as the Sydney Anglican Diocesan Research Officer and spends the rest of her time writing, reading, speaking and training on singleness, sexuality, church community, women in ministry and more.

However, we encourage people to participate live if possible, and even better, to gather with others to watch together.
Livestreams and online events can be a real gift. They also allow us to hear from speakers who are located in other countries and time-zones.
But because we care deeply about discipleship that happens in real-life, embodied Christian community, we believe important Christian teaching and conversations are best had in the same room, face-to-face and in relationship with each other wherever possible.
Since Covid, many of us have drifted out of the habit of gathering like that. We think it has been a real loss and we’d love to help encourage it again.
As such, we try to have in-person attendance options for as many of our events as possible and do our best to encourage people towards joining us in the room where it happens!
We aim to keep our events as accessible as possible. At the same time, running events —even online events—involves a range of real costs.

We try to keep our ticket prices as low as possible while also covering those costs and ensuring we can continue offering high-quality and biblically faithful teaching and resources.
However, ticket income only covers a small part of the true cost of ministry, which is why the generosity of our financial partners also plays such an important role in keeping the ministry going and growing.
Yes. Many of our events include church licenses or small/large group tickets that allow multiple people to participate together at a reduced cost.
These options are designed to encourage churches, small groups, and ministry teams to engage with the material together rather than individually.
Our financial partners play a vital role in making our ministry possible. From time to time we host partner-exclusive events as a way of saying thank you, sharing ministry updates more personally, and giving those who support the work an opportunity to hear more about what God is doing through the ministry.
These gatherings are not intended to create an “inner circle,” but simply to express our gratitude and deepen the relationship with those who have chosen to invest in the ministry in this particular way.
