Our Team

Dani Treweek

Executive Director

Dani is the founding director of Cross Related. After graduating from Moore Theological College and serving in women’s ministry at a church in Sydney, Dani completed a PhD focusing on a theology of singleness.

She also works part-time as the Sydney Anglican Diocesan Research Officer and spends the rest of her time writing, reading, speaking and training on singleness, sexuality, church community and more. She loves the musical Les Miserables, a good cup of chai and making her nephew and niece laugh.

Rebecca Yap

Administrator

Rebecca Yap is our part-time administrator.  She’s the one who reads and responds to your emails and makes all the magic happen behind the scenes. In other words, Rebecca is the engine room of Cross Related!

Rebecca joined our team as one of the admin assistants with Virtual Church Assist (a fantastic group that provides administrative support specific to church and ministry organisations).  She has 10+ years experience working in church admin roles and also serves the communications and publications coordinator at an Anglican church in Sydney’s Hills District. When she’s not working, she loves spending time with her family, drinking good coffee and relaxing at the beach.

She originally met Dani (our executive director) by stalking her online until they met for coffee to chat all things singleness. Ruth is committed to exploring and living God’s vision for his family in all our contexts.

Pete is an accountant by training and spent many years working in Christian Schools. He is currently living just outside of Dubbo in central New South Wales and enjoys running a small enterprise grazing cattle.  He loves a good latte.  Better than a latte are his four adult nephews. The best is knowing that he is forgiven, and he longs for “A world that knows Jesus”.

He first connected with Cross Related via Zoom during Lockdown. He felt convicted to attend the 2024 conference in Sydney, Peter speak briefly with Dani to ask if there was any way he might be able to support the ministry. As they say, “the rest is history”.

Committee Member

Assumpta has been part of Cross Related from the very beginning. Back in 2018, she was part of the inaugural conference’s volunteer team, but what started as lending a hand quickly became something much bigger.

One of Assumpta’s greatest joys is talking to people about Cross Related —especially at parties. “Meeting ordinary people and explaining what the ministry is about usually results in a ‘lightbulb’ moment,” she says. “Many people I meet are grateful for this ministry—they feel there is a voice for them in the Christian sphere”.
